    Geek Adventures made sure we were happy campers by providing friendly, fast, and thorough service! They thought of everything from basic necessities to creature comforts. Q: I’ve never been camping before, are tents difficult to set up?
A: Tents come with setup instructions, and first-timers have said that setup is a breeze.

Q: How many people can sleep in a tent?
A: Each tent can sleep 2 people very comfortably.

Q: Can these tents be used in the rain?
A: Tents come with both a ground cloth (footprint), and rain fly. They’re also waterproofed, so rain won’t be a problem. However, during storms with lightning, it’s best to go inside a structure.

Q: What if something is damaged during rental?
A: Regular wear is not a problem. However… rips, tears, and burns are examples of non-wear issues that you’ll be charged for (up to the full replacement cost of the item).

Q: I love one of the items I rented, can I purchase it?
A: Yep! Just let us know which item via email and we’ll make arrangements to make it yours.

Q: How are supplies cleaned before use?
A: Sleeping bags are cleaned using a commercial washer between use. Tents are hand cleaned and inventoried between each use. Mess kits are mechanically cleaned between each rental.

Q: What’s your cancellation policy?
A: Reservations can be cancelled up to 48 hrs in advance for a full refund (minus a $20 admin fee).

Q: What if I run out of fuel during my trip?
A: We provide you with a list of national retailers that sell the fuel, and acceptable replacements. If you happen to run out of a fuel during your trip, simply purchase one of the approved fuel canisters and send us the receipt. We’ll reimburse you!

Q: What temperature are the sleeping bags rated for?
A: Sleeping bags are rated for 20 F or above.

Q: Will you expand to other cities?
A: That’s the plan… however we want to make sure we get it right in Austin first!
