Join Hiking with Geeks, Dallas for a beautiful 4 mile(s) hike, geek or no geek, unwind after work and join us!
• The event start time is the gathering time. Please meet at the entrance to Old Alton Bridge trail head at that time. We’ll leave promptly 10 minutes after the scheduled start time (to give some cushion for late arrivers while still respecting everyone’s time). We’ll hike the trail and get to know each other along the way.
This trail is heavily shaded for the most part, follows Hickory Creek for a bit and will help us escape the sun as much as possible.
From Teasley Lane and Old Alton Road intersection, head south on Old Alton. The parking entrance for the trailhead is unmarked and on a gravel road on your left hand side approximately 100 yards down Old Alton Road. If parking is full, choose either the second parking entrance a quarter mile away or park at the business parking lot for Denton Door Company or such which is before you turn into the trailhead parking. They will be closed and this would be overflow-approved.
