Due to scheduling conflicts, this event has been cancelled.
Join Hiking with Geeks, Seattle for a beautiful 8 mile(s) hike, and meet some fellow geeks!
This is a VERY strenuous hike and VERY steep hike. Please read the linked WTA description and recent trip reports carefully before RSVPing. Sturdy shoes are required and trekking poles are strongly encouraged. Come prepared for a variety of weather. There is one water source along this trail if needed, but do carry at least two liters with you.
An America The Beautiful pass or an entry fee that can be paid at the ranger station is required for each vehicle ($30). Due to the extremely large volume of traffic at the trailhead and long drive from the city, carpooling is strongly encouraged (as well as making this a weekend and getting a campsite nearby!)
• The event start time is the gathering time. Please meet at the Camp Muir trail head at that time. We’ll leave promptly 15 minutes after the scheduled start time (to give some cushion for late arrivers while still respecting everyone’s time). We’ll hike the trail and get to know each other along the way.
