Suggested packing list for camping in Oklahoma

September is one of the best times to visit Oklahoma. Typically the temperature is moderate and there are fewer bugs. As September approaches, make sure to take a look at the weather forecast for the weekend and pack accordingly.

Hiking boots / trail shoes: If you plan on exploring the outdoor trails at camp, please bring close-toed shoes

Clothing: You’ve probably heard it before, but it’s worth mentioning again here. Dressing in layers is awesome. It makes it easy to adapt to different temperatures easily and quickly. For instance, it might be brisk in the morning, warm in the afternoon, and cooler at night. If you have a few layers and a backpack, you can easily change up your wardrobe to match the temp without returning to your tent, cabin, or RV.
